A drivers license or other official picture ID, (such as a Military ID card or Massachusetts ID card) along with positive proof of address and phone number are required for all rentals. Customers who do not live in our general rental area will be asked to leave a security deposit. This deposit amount will vary depending on the item being rented, and must be paid by cash or credit card. A local job site address and phone number will also be required in some cases.

PAYMENT
All rentals are to be paid in advance, unless a charge account has been established with us. Payment may be made with American Express, Master Card, Visa, Discover, Local Checks or Cash.

RENTAL PERIOD – IN GENERAL
We charge from the time the rented items leave our store until the time they are returned. We realize that the items may not be being used this entire time, but we must charge on the basis of time out, not time used since we can not rent the items to someone else while they are in your possession. Furthermore, if you reserve something for 8am pickup on a Monday for example, it’ll be due back 8am Tuesday. Even if you don’t actually get here to pick it up until 10am. It could already be booked for someone else.

RENTAL PERIOD – EQUIPMENT
The minimum rental period for most items is a 24 hour day. Some items, such as lawn care equipment are also available for a 4 hour rental.

Monday thru Friday, a day is defined as any 24 hour period. High demand items, such as Front End Loaders and Backhoes, are generally rented from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

On Saturday, a daily rental is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, we close at 5:00 PM.

Sunday Rentals are available by picking up the item Saturday between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. (Pick up as early as 3:00 PM is available if the item is here at that time.) Items rented for Sunday are due back Monday at 8:00 AM.

RENTAL PERIOD – PARTY ITEMS
Party rental periods cover the time needed for one event. (Tent rentals for 5 or more days excluded.) This period could be for several days, and for weekend events allow you to pick up your rentals anytime Friday or Saturday for return anytime on Monday. The charge for this period is based on the ‘one day’ rate. If you need to rent the items for multiple events, a series of business meetings spanning several days for example, the ‘weekly rate’ would apply. For most party items, the weekly rate is equal to twice the ‘one day’ rental rate.

EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWNS
We strive to keep our equipment in top working order at all time. ‘Murphy’s Law’ however says that problems sometimes can and will occur. If you ever have any problems or questions about the items that you rent, please call us right away, even if we’re closed-an employee will call you back. Many problems can be solved over the phone. In some cases we may need to provide a replacement or substitute item. We will do everything possible to help you finish your job in a timely and efficient manner.

RESERVATIONS
We accept reservations on both equipment and party items. Some items, including, but not limited to Tents and Canopies may require a non-refundable reservation deposit. This deposit guarantees the item you want will be available for your function.

EXTENDING THE LENGTH OF YOUR RENTAL
-If you rent an item, and realize that you won’t have the job done by the time the equipment is due back, please call us as soon as possible to try to extend the rental. If the equipment is already reserved for someone else than you’ll have to return it at the time on the contract. If it’s not booked, then we’ll be happy to extend the rental period for you.

12% DAMAGE WAIVER CHARGE
This is a fee that is added to all contracts automatically, if you wish to reject it, you must do so when you are picking up the item(s).

– The following explains what Damage Waiver covers:
“If you pay the damage waiver charge (DWC) as specified, subject to the limitations and exclusions below. Sudbury Taylor Rental agrees to modify the terms of this contract and relieve you of liability for accidental damage to the rented item(s) on this contract, and for loss due to fire, collision, windstorm, upset, and riot. We exclude from this waiver, any loss or damage due to theft, burglary, misuse or abuse, theft by conversion, intentional damage, mysterious disappearance or any loss due to your failure to care for the rental item(s) as a prudent man would his own property, such as proper lubrication. In addition, a further condition of this waiver is that you must file a report to the proper law enforcement authorities and furnish us a copy.”
